According to Levis, increasing the longevity of your garments by up to 9 months can help reduce your carbon footprint by 30%. We are on a mission to inspire consumers to get the most out of their garments - being creative and up-cycling or repairing your clothes will help save money and the planet, sounds like a win, win to me.

Repair:

Denim is made with a long life-span in mind, you can help extend the life of yours by: patching them up, repairing hems, replacing any buttons that have come loose, and creating shorts or a cute denim skirt from damaged jeans. Everyone strives to be unique to why not make your denim stand out and live a little longer.

Brands like Fanfare will up-cycle your old jeans for you, this gives you the feel good feeling of buying something new without costing the planet.

Reimagine:

When there is no more wear left in your jeans turn them into something else, reimagining allows you to be creative and think outside the box. From patches, to tote bags, to a chic denim bucket hat - with the help of a YouTube video you can create something completely new.

Even if you feel you’re not up to the challenge, there are many brands that will help you with the process such as Nudie Jeans or Levis

Recycle:

Denim is an extremely durable fabric when made properly so keep your jeans out of landfill by giving them a 2nd (or 3rd or 4th) life. This can be done by making a bit of extra cash by selling on platforms like Depop or Vinted, passing them on to a friend, or even saving them for a daughter, son, or younger sibling.

Many denim brands such as Levis or Fanfare will also take donations as they can help integrate it into a circular business model.
